Race season is here. What a great couple of weeks for Zone3 US Ambassadors at the races! We are so proud of all of these these athletes and wanted to take a moment to give a huge shout out to them on their recent accomplishments.
Congratulations to Kent Rodahaver on three podium finished in his last three races. The most recent result was 3rd in his age group at St. Anthony's Triathlon. A super great guy and athlete! Proud to have Kent wearing Zone3!
Congratulations to Elise Winter from Rocklin Endurance Race Team on her last two races! Elise raced her first 70.3 at Wildflower and in her 70.3 debut, she finished 4th in her age group and had the 2nd fastest run split in her AG. Wow! One week later this speedy lady took on Folsom Lake International Triathlon where she managed to snag the top spot overall!!
Here's what Elise had to say about her race...."I swam faster than I thought I did!! I was so surprised to see my 100 yard split time on my watch that I didn’t believe it until I downloaded my data later in the day and looked again. It was about 2 seconds per 100 yards faster than my goal race pace. I had the fastest woman’s swim split of the day and 11th fastest overall thanks to my Vanquish!! I also just squeaked in the fastest woman’s bike split by seconds and grabbed the woman’s run split as well." Way to go, Elise!!
Next up is Mike Hill. Mike is an incredible athlete and he has just punched his ticket to Kona! He finished 3rd in his age group and 10th overall this past weekend at Ironman Santa Rosa. Here's what Mike had to say about his race... "Epic race. I was first out of the water with a 50:35 which was the fastest swim of the day, thanks to my Vanquish wetsuit and Volare googles. Needed every second of advantage I could get. Was able to battle for 10th overall and 3rd in my AG with 4th and 5th only a minute behind at the finish. It was a tough swim and the time I put in to the field in the water made the difference between making Kona and not." We are super excited for you, Mike! We'll see you on the big island in October. Congrats!!
Some more great results from Rocklin Endurance Athlete Dana Haldeman. Dana raced Half Moon Bay Olympic Distance and finished 2nd in her age group and was 2nd overall. Dana also took 22 minutes of her last years time at Half Moon Bay! WOW! Next up for Dana was Wildflower Olympic where she finished 3rd in her age group and 3rd overall female!! The following weekend she raced Folsom Lake International where she climbed the podium once again. Dana finished 2nd in her age group and was 4th overall female. Super huge congrats, Dana!
Congratulations to our speedy swimmer, Bruce Deakyne! It was no surprise to us that Bruce was first out of the water in his AG at Ironman 70.3 St. George! Bruce had an incredible day and finished 3rd in his age group. Way to go Bruce!! Congrats!!
And next up, we have Shelly Howe! This athlete always puts a smile on our faces! Shelly just became a 3x Ironman at Ironman Santa Rosa! Shelly has such a positive attitude and is always smiling. She has certainly faced some hardships over the last year. Shelly and her family lost everything in the Santa Rosa wildfires and we can't imagine how tough that must have been for her. We have followed Shelly along on her journey back and we are so impressed with her strength and courage. Very admirable! Congrats Ironman Shelly! We are super proud to have you as an ambassador!
Shout out to another Rocklin Endurance athlete, Sena Minshew! Sena set a goal to finish a sub 12 hour race at Ironman Santa Rosa and she met that goal! Congratulations Sena! Well done!!
Michelle Nelson is an athlete that never fails to impress. Always smiling and always super motivating. Michelle and her husband John raced together at Ironman Texas recently. Michelle ended the day with a new bike PR and she is now a 10x Ironman! Wow! Incredible achievement, Michelle! Very well done. Proud to have you on the team! Congratulations!!
Congratulations to Rocklin Endurance athlete Jeremy Bennett on his 1st place AG win and 2nd overall at Folsom Super Sprint last weekend.
Congratulations to Mike White from Rocklin Endurance! Mike took the top spot at Discovery Bay Triathlon and had the fastest swim and bike splits of the day! Next up was Folsom Lake International Triathlon where Mike was 1st age-group and 5th overall, and again he had the fastest swim and bike splits of the day! Way to go Mike!!!

Also at the races Zone3 US's Tonya Allen with her little athlete Abigail at St. Anthony's Triathlon!
